My Reflection

WAL about value in art- how light or dark something is. We were inspired by Chuck Close, the one that invented the Grid Value Art.  First we started by taking a line for a walk, where it is basically doing a bunch of squiggles and then you had to do light and dark patterns inside of the squiggles. Next we had to do enlarging pictures. We had a small picture and we had to draw that on a bigger piece of paper. Finally we we did a lot of patterns to get ideas when we did our actual art. For me the trickiest part of the art was doing the facial patterns because it was hard to do the patterns. My favourite part was drawing the hands because it was easy and didn't look that bad.

I was learning to the Peer Mediation Process.  It can be challenging because we don't know what the other person might say.  This can help us solve our problems in class when we are working in groups or  with a partner.  Learning the script properly makes it easier to use and help us what to say in the video.

Otago Math Certificate

This is a Otago math certificate.Otago math is a thing where you solve diffrent math problems around 5 times a year.This was a fun experience and I would kinda like to do again next year.

I was learning to make a ultimate school day.I found this not easy but not too hard because I had plenty of ideas but we didn't know what time to do the activity.My next step is too do more collaborative activities like this.

I was learning draw a maori god or make a god up. I drew Tangaroa- god of the sea.  I found this tricky because I wasn't very good at drawing and making it perfect.

I was learning to know what was well being and in this activity I was meant to match the following benefits of diffrent aspects of Hauora. I found this easy and hard at the same time because the easy part was because when I read the slideshow it gave me some hints, the hard bits was when I thought that one of the items belonged somewhere else.

This is my Pepeha.  I have been learning to introduce myself using my pepeha.  We also made some out to display my pepeha.

Term 1 Week 4

Last week Rm 28/29 played sport with Youth Town.  We played Capture The Flag.  Their version was kind of diffrent from the version I play.  It was fun. Most of the time I just guarded my team.  A couple times I went and tried to get the ball.  I wish I had kept going for the ball.  I'm looking forward to playing Capture The Flag again.
