         My Reflection

I have been learning to relate characters in the text.  

We have been reading George's Marvellous  Medicine.  I thought of some words to describe Grandma form what I learnt from her in the story.  

I found this easy because the author uses good words to describe her in the story. 

My next step is to write a paragraph describing Grandma using these words.

Identifying Different Types Of Words

My Reflection

I have been learning to identify nouns,verbs and adjectives.  A noun is a person,place or thing.  A verb is and action word.  An adjective is describing a word.  I found this work easy because I did something similar last year.  My next step is to use metaphors.

Multiplication Strategy

My Reflection

The strategy I understood really well was the Place Value strategy.  I found the part where you split the numbers into tens and ones so you can multiply them easy to understand.  My next step is to work on harder numbers like 124 x 6.

                                      I have been learning to write a diamante poem.  I found this work intresting  because the poem was shaped like a diamond.  My next step is to have probaly more practice with these poems.

Reflection:

I have been reading the book Cry of the Taniwha. I was identifying the personalities of the characters in the story. I enjoyed doing this because we could see what the characters were like. My next step is to identify more characters using a prejudice map.

MY FRACTIONS OF A SET

We are learning about unit fractions of a set.

One thing that worked for me was knowing my basic facts because if you know your basic facts, your good at fractions.

One thing that was tricky for me was

division facts are hard.

Reflection

   I was learning to make a dream house out of 14 shapes.  I felt kind of confident because I have done things like this before.  It helped me quite a lot because I have drew a lot of dream houses and my next step is to make it in 3D I can't wait.

I was learning to use my five senses to add details so that I can make my writing more interesting for my reader.  I felt confident because I saw lots of examples.  My next step is to write more simaler things to this activity.

I was learning to understand the characters impact on the story.  I felt confident about this learning.  The thing that helped me most was talking on mat.  My next step would be to read more books and use the same ideas.
